Ashley and Trevor met in high school in 2001 and have been together ever since. In fact, they had been together for 10 years before getting engaged. Trevor proposed in their home, marking the end to the craziest week at work. “I came in the door late and exhausted to find supper cooking,” says the bride. Trevor kept asking her to check their dog’s collar, and when she did, there it was: a beautiful engagement ring attached to Crosby’s collar and Trevor down on one knee.
The couple married before 180 guests on July 27 at the Clovelly Golf and Country Club in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Their whole day was perfect. “Being surrounded by our best friends and family and everyone sharing in our love and excitement was beyond anything I could have hoped for,” says the bride. “Walking in to the ceremony and seeing everyone there wishing us nothing but heartfelt joy and love was very uplifting and extraordinary. Then to get to promise our lives and love to each other always was just icing on the cake!”
Wedding theme was relaxed elegance and their colour scheme was fuchsia with lime green and orange accents. Says the bride: “My favorite wedding details had to be the flowers. So bright and lively. They just seemed to tie the whole wedding theme and colour scheme together.”
