Where and when you have your wedding is your style guide.
When:
Summer
Look at lightweight fabrics that breathe. Check out chiffon, organza, charmeuse, silk shantung and tulle.
Winter
This invites lush fabrics with more ornate embellishments, luxurious silk satins and heavier lace such as Battenberg lace.
Where:
The Beach Don’t wear a ballgown if you’re having a destination wedding. Choose a simple, gauzy gown that seems to float. |
The Barn Acknowledge your surroundings with a simple style, perhaps an A -line. Consider a short dress. |
The Historic House This invites a glimpse of the past, so why not be vintage-inspired? Think lace, perhaps in an A -line. Or go for glamour in a beaded sheath. |
The Ballroom Go full-out glamour with a grand ballgown and train. If a sophisticated sheath is more your style, have one in a great fabric with a small train. |
