Danielle and Michael were married on August 4, 2012 at FireRock Golf Course in Komoka, Ontario before 220 guests. The couple, who considers themselves best friends, enjoy laughing and playing with each other, watching movies and singing along to Backstreet Boys songs together.
“I feel like our love is the kind movies are made of,” says the bride.
For the wedding, they created a country garden with peach, ivory, white, soft lilac, grey, and pastel pink and blue, tones, with vintage wood and burlap accents. The bride loved the perfect country garden centrepieces on each table. Their decadent gingerbread balboa wedding cake was made with the groom’s favourite cream cheese frosting. Inspired by Hilary Duff’s wedding cake, the “exposed” cake was layered by frosting and the tiers stuffed with dozens of garden roses. The pièce de résistance was the custom cake topper.
The couple says they felt a profound connection while watching each other make their vows. Every detail of the wedding was what they had hoped for.
