In addition to your formal pictures, be sure to take some silly and fun photos on your wedding day. Flirt with the camera. Strike a silly pose, and be sure to include all of the unique quirkiness that makes you shine as a couple.
From food trucks and merry-go-rounds to industrial graffiti or a field of hay, plan ahead for backdrops and props you will want for your fun photos.
Keep It Snappy
Photographer Mike Day says that a good photographer can make all your quirky shots a delight, but keep a few tips in mind:
- Tell your photographer what you have in mind – do you want comfortable and natural quirky and creative?
- Use props to set the stage.
- Go somewhere busy, like a downtown urban setting or market. Your photographer can blur the background or change angles to make it look interesting.
- Do you need a permit? Your photographer can recommend similar venues to replicate the look you’re after with no permit required.
- Relax and be playful!
