Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Nicole and Matthew said “I do” in Toronto, Ontario.
Nicole and Matthew met at a mutual friend’s birthday party. Nicole was expecting to meet a blind date, but he didn’t show up at the party. “So, Matt swooped in and stole the moment and my heart,” says Nicole.
A romantic courtship and engagement followed, and then the couple exchanged vows before 150 guests at the Eglinton Grand. Their vintage-bike-themed wedding went off without a hitch, with a little help from Social Butterfly Event Design.
One of the most special moments – aside from the photoshoot at Evergreen Brick Works – was their first dance. “The curtains opened from the balcony of the Eglinton Grand theatre where guests were enjoying the cocktail hour,” says Nicole. “The spotlight panned to the main floor where Matt and I danced to Sam Cook’s ‘That’s Where It’s At.’ It was a perfect start to a perfect night.”
The couple also loved the vintage details of the sweetheart table, which included floral arrangements of peonies, garden roses and dusty miller in silver mercury vases. Pie pops were a sweet treat.
