It was well worth the wait when Melissa married Michael at St. Clements Cathedral, surrounded by 200 of their closest family and friends in Toronto, Ontario.
Michael and Melissa were together for more than eight years before they were married. Over the years, everytime Melissa thought Michael would propose, he didn’t. It wasn’t until February 2012, when the couple went to Blue Mountain, that Michael tried to propose on the slopes several times but Melissa was eager to ski. Michael finally forced Melissa to the side and told her to look around at the view. Then he dropped down on one knee and started talking about the importance of family. It was such an unexpected moment for Melissa, but well worth the wait.
The bride’s favourite wedding day moment happened as she was sitting in her limo waiting to make her entrance into the church. “I remember thinking, this is it; I’m going in soon and I will finally get to look at Michael and say those vows,” says Melissa. “I was so happy walking down the aisle to Michael, I was beaming.”
There were so many wedding details the couple loved, such as décor, the cake and the favours but if the bride had to pick just one favourite wedding detail, that would be their wedding stationary. “My invites were custom designed with my colours and one of my favourite quotes,” says Melissa. From wedding programs to menu cards and thank you cards, everything was custom designed and incorporated the couple’s wedding scheme and overall style.
