Stacey’s best friend, Rebecca Cowling, introduced the couple 10 years ago. They were just 16 years old – and from that moment, they were always together.
Their new house was just under construction when James measured where the front door would be. In the mud, he got down on one knee and proposed.
Stacey and James were married in St. Michael’s Cathedral by Fr. Michael Busch, who had been James’ childhood priest. Friends came from Greece, Australia, England and the U.S.A. to share their special day.
The couple say the most emotional moment for both of them was when they shared their vows, declaring that they would love each other forever.
A surprising 13 sets of twins attended the wedding. In fact, the groom’s best man, Michael, was his twin brother. James says, “The toasts were great – sometimes witty and sometimes emotional and full of love.”
