Anna and Alon met at a lounge in Toronto, when one of Alon’s friends invited Anna and her friend to join them. They’ve been inseparable since then!
The couple got engaged on a trip to Mexico. Alon planned a week-long trip to Mexico to celebrate Anna’s birthday. Shortly after midnight on the day of Anna’s birthday, they two returned to their room. Anna remembered turning away from Alon to reach for something, and as she turned back, he was there holding the ring! “It was truly the biggest surprise of my life,” says Anna.
One of the couple’s favourite wedding moments was their ‘first glimpse’ of each other alone. “We felt like it was an intimate moment and we wanted a part of our wedding day to be just for us,” says Anna. “When we saw each other for the first time it was really special.”
The newlyweds had two favourite wedding details. The first favourite wedding detail was the Ketubah which Anna was lucky enough to find in Israel before their wedding, which made it even more special. The second favourite wedding detail was Anna’s bouquet. Since the bride’s favourite flowers are peonies, she wanted to have a bouquet with as many peonies as possible, but since the flower was going to be out of season at the time of their wedding she didn’t know if it would be possible. It wasn’t until the morning of Anna and Alon’s wedding that the bride-to-be knew what type of flowers were in her bouquet. “It was a gorgeous bouquet, filled with the most exquisite white and soft pink peonies and I was so pleased,” says Anna.
