Rob and Siya met in high school, when they were both 15. Siya used to tease Rob in math class since he wasn’t doing so well in the subject. Essentially, the two grew up together, remaining friends throughout high school, university and then as young adults. From there, their love story unfolded.
Rob proposed to Siya on their fifth year anniversary as a couple. Rob took Siya back to the place they celebrated their first anniversary as a couple, a restaurant on English Bay. They had a lovely dinner and then went for a walk along the beach. Since it was December, there were holiday lights on the trees and it was frosty outside, but nevertheless Rob got down on one knee and asked Siya to marry him. The rest was history.
The couple’s favourite wedding moment was when it was time to get ready for their reception along with their wedding party. “We all got ready at my parents house and it was so nice to have everyone in the same room after our wedding to relax and have fun,” says Siya.
And as for the bride’s favourite wedding detail? That’s an easy one. “I loved the décor at our reception,” says Siya. “We had a hard time finding someone who understood the theme we were going for and when we walked into our reception, I was blown away with the details and overall look.”
