According to Andrea, the way that she and Eoin met was “pretty random.” Andrea, who was living in Northern Ontario at the time, was visiting some friends in Toronto and met Eoin while at a bar one night. After walking into each other, the two struck up a conversation and instantly clicked. After that night they both kept in touch, with Andrea coming back down to Toronto occasionally to visit him. A year later Andrea got a job in Toronto and made the move to be with Eoin.
Eoin proposed to Andrea at the top of the Niagara Escarpment at Rattlesnake Point in Milton, Ontario. The couple was up there for a fall hike and to take in the beautiful views. A year later the couple decided to take their engagement photos at the same spot.
Andrea and Eoin were married on April 30th, 2016 at St. Paul’s Basilica. The reception was held at the Enoch Turner Schoolhouse in Toronto. The couple included Eoin’s family Tartan colours as an accent colour, seen on the men’s ties and the bridesmaids’ shoes.
Andrea’s favourite moment of the reception was getting to relax after the ceremony during the cocktail hour and being able to spend time talking with people she hadn’t seen for some time, while listening to the traditional band.
Some advice that Andrea would pass on to other brides is that if you don’t have a wedding planner, then a day-of coordinator is “a must”. A day-of coordinator will take care of the logistics of the day while you are able to celebrate and enjoy the day with your new spouse and friends and family.
