Unique Details
History was made! Emily and Victoria were proud to be the first same-sex wedding to take place at the Windermere House, a significance that was not lost on the happy couple. And as Emily’s family is Jewish, these brides incorporated some Jewish traditions, including an amazing outdoor Hora.
Honeymoon
Emily and Victoria took their time to plan an incredible two-week honeymoon in Greece to Athens, Mykonos and Santorini a year after the nuptials, to celebrate their one-year anniversary. It was well worth the wait!
Favourite Part
“We worked closely with our officiant to create a deeply meaningful ceremony that incorporated our love story, roles for our parents, vows, important song lyrics, and specific religious and spiritual elements,” says Emily. “On the day of, when we were standing under our chuppah, surrounded by the excitement and support of our closest family and friends, the world disappeared and it was just the two of us promising our love to one another.”
Wedding Advice
“Plan to take a few quiet moments together after your ceremony before returning to your guests. It is such a special time and the rest of the day will fly by in a blur,” says Victoria.
