These brides exchanged vows in a celebration filled with music.
Making music: There was a dancing procession (twirls and all) by the bridesmaids and bridesman to “Coming Home” by Leon Bridges. Charmaine’s father (who is mostly wheelchair-bound) walked Charmaine down the aisle with her mom to “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne, and there was a ceremonial-reading of “Thank You” by Led Zeppelin.
What went wrong: Chelsey is a florist and designed and executed all of the flowers and arrangements for the wedding, including two breathtaking bridal bouquets. However, two nights before the wedding, the women opened the fridge where the flowers were being kept and found them completely frozen. Crisis was averted with a quick call and plea to the flower vendor. The final bouquets (with some different flower choices) ended up being just perfect.
Planning advice: “Ask for help! Accept the help! Our family and friends were awesome! They kept us calm, scoured vintage shops for us, prepped flowers, baked, set-up, and on and on! Our vendors were unbelievable. It really does take a village!”
Honeymoon: Disney World!
Favourite part: Immediately following the ceremony, the couple led all their family and friends to the outdoor area where they mingled, celebrated, laughed, took pictures, walked barefoot in the grass and exhaled!
