It only took a month of working with him for Karine Ouellet to ask Pablo Ramirez out. He said no. But within a few minutes, he changed his mind.
Since then, their relationship blossomed. Pablo romantically proposed to Karine during a sunset in Santorini, Greece.
The couple, who met while working at the same company, tied the knot on July 30, 2011, in front of 80 guests. Their black-and-white-themed wedding ceremony was held at the historic Notre-Dame Basilica in Old Montreal.
Karine’s favourite wedding moment was their choreographed, first dance to Con Los Anos Que Me Quedan by Gloria Estefan.
“Our dance wasn’t simple, we had approximately six lifts,” says Karine. “We practised so many times because we are not natural dancers. We had so much fun.”
Pablo’s mother made their gorgeous wedding cake, while the couple’s favours were mini cupcakes by Les Glaceurs.
