It was a day full of modern elegance when Jennifer and Alec were married at the beautiful Sunnybrook Vaughan Estates in Toronto. They celebrated their union with 110 guests that included their closest friends and family.
When Jennifer and Alec first met, it wasn’t exactly love at first sight. They chatted briefly but nothing happened until 4 months later when armed with just her first name and the name of the company she worked for, Alec showed up at Jennifer’s office and asked her to dinner and the ballet. More than six years later, Alec’s proposal was original and unique – he proposed in the middle of the Eaton Centre surrounded by Bollywood dancers and glittery heart confetti everywhere. Jennifer said yes and the rest was history.
One of the couple’s favourite wedding moments was their Chinese tea ceremony with just their closest family in attendance. “We can’t forget our beautiful outdoor ceremony at Sunnybrook Estates; it just made our wedding absolutely magical,” says Jennifer.
The couple’s favourite wedding detail was the kissing game they had at their reception. Since Alec owns his own martial arts gym and Jennifer is a cardio Kickbox instructor, their game was called ‘show us your combat moves’ where the more impressive the move, the more impressive the kiss from the bride and groom. “We had some awesome combat moves on display and our guests really got into it,” says Alec.
