Filled with modern elegance, it was the perfect day when Alicia and Nick were married in front of 150 guests in Kemble, Ontario.
Nick and Alicia were introduced by Nick’s sister when they were out with friends. They were immediately inseparable and decided shortly after that they were going to sell both of their houses and purchase a new one together. Talk about a whirlwind romance!
Six months after they moved into their new house with their three adopted pets, Nick proposed with a low key, yet elaborate and detailed plan involving a Christmas advent calendar. Nick wanted to get married within three months, but was quickly advised by Alicia that there was no way a wedding could be planned in such a short period of time. So on September 7th, 2013, they were married in front of their family and friends.
The couple’s favourite wedding moment was being able to share it with friends and family. “Everyone that was invited to the wedding meant something to us, and has shared in our families coming together,” says Alicia. “It was such a blessing to experience the tremendous love and support we have from both sides of our families and with our friends.”
Nick adds that seeing his blushing bride for the first time coming down the aisle was a moment he’ll never forget.
The couple’s favourite wedding details were the handmade and custom designed favours, that were made by the groom. “Nick being the creative counter part in our relationship, made everything from favours to the thank you’s, and designed all of the elements within the reception,” says Alicia. In addition, the bride’s bouquet was wrapped in a piece of her mother’s wedding dress secured with her grandmother’s favourite hummingbird pin, providing another very special wedding detail.
